Password

Passwords are used in a variety of contexts to protect one’s privacy and important information from outside users. Passwords are created by the user of a certain account so only they may log onto that account and view personal information. They can be a combination of words, numbers and occasionally symbols. Before logging into the account, the user must enter a username and password to successfully enter the account. Passwords tend to make up a word that is relatable for the user and easy for them to remember. It should never be information such as a birthday, street address or their name.

Example: “Please enter your password now to log-in to your financial account.”
Example: “Please create a password consisting of at least 6 characters long.”
