The Alabama Telco Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards credit card is the only point rewards credit card offered by ATCU. This car allows you to earn points whenever you use your card for purchases, however, you cannot redeem points for balance transfers, which is the norm for most credit cards.

As with most Credit Union credit cards, this is a low interest credit card. This rewards credit card is not for people with bad credit; however, you may be able to qualify with good credit, depending upon how recently you have had bumps on your credit report.

Overview of the Alabama Telco Visa Platinum Rewards Credit Card

As mentioned above, this is a rewards credit card. You will earn one point for every $1 that you spend on new purchases with your card. The points can be redeemed for merchandise or discounts on travel. There is no way to earn bonus points and you cannot redeem points for anything else.

When you use this credit card to purchase your tickets for traveling, you will automatically qualify for travel accident insurance. This, however, does not include accident insurance if you are traveling via rental car.

While you cannot apply for this credit card online, you can manage your account online with the credit union’s free online Internet banking option. You can pay your bills, review your account, and update information via this account.

6 month 4.99% introductory APR for purchases, balance transfers, and cash advances
10.9% to 16.9% APR for purchase, balance transfers and cash advances once the introductory APR expires
Fixed APR

No annual fee, balance transfer fee, cash advance fee or foreign transaction fee

According to Smart Money, Credit Unions are an excellent source for low interest loans and credit cards and the ATCU is no exception! This card may be an excellent choice for you, however, keep in mind that this is not a card for those with bad credit.
