While the ACU Visa Platinum Rewards credit card is not a bad credit credit card, those with bumpy credit may find that this is an easier card to qualify for than other credit union credit cards. This is a low interest credit card; however, credit rates increase to 23.24% for people with less than perfect credit.
Overview of the Alliant Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards Card
This credit card is a rewards credit card that allows you to earn one point for every $1 that you spend on purchases. There is no way to earn additional bonus points on this card, however, there is no cap on points, and the points never expire.
You can use your points for travel, merchandise, hotel stays, gift certificates, and more. There are no restrictions when using your points for airline, cruises, or car rentals. In addition, you can fly on most major airlines with your points.
You can manage your credit card online, even if you aren’t a member of Alliant Credit Union. You can enroll in online bill pay and set up a bill paying account using your card as well.
Terms of the Alliant Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards Card
There is currently a nine-month introductory rate of 2.99% to 5.99% APR. Your introductory rate is determined by your credit score. Not everyone will qualify for this introductory rate, so this is something of which you should be aware!

- 23.24% variable penalty APR
- Minimum interest charge of $1
- No balance transfer fee
- $25 late payment fee

Verdict on the Alliant Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards Card
Frankly, with the higher interest rates and fees, this is a better choice for someone who is having difficulty getting other reward credit cards. It isn’t perfect, but it is still a decent enough card. There are other cards with better rates however.
