The Bottom Line
All things considered, both of these AmTrust Bank credit cards are a decent rewards credit card option at face value, if all you want is a good credit card with a run-of-the-mill rewards program, or, in the case of the Accelerated Rewards American Express, an excellent rewards program. But it cannot be ignored that AmTrust recently had to turn to another bank for help due to financial difficulties.
The truth is that you can get a WorldPoints card from a variety of other banks, and the same goes for American Express. Unless you already bank with AmTrust and are willing to invest further in your banking relationship with this company, you’re probably better off looking for the same card with a different bank.
