Arbitration is a legal technique which is used to keep disputes out of court. It is an alternative dispute resolution. As a credit card consumer, you may be required to agree to binding arbitration before obtaining your credit card, which means that you will be giving up you right to sue the credit card issuer. In place of a law suit, any dispute must be settled with an arbitrator.
