The Bank of America Elite Rewards Credit Card has a credit card rewards program that offers discounts on everything from electronics to travel to dining and even to “green” rewards. If you name it, it’s probably available as a reward from Elite Rewards.
The program works with a wide range of participating retailers, hotels, and airlines to provide a wide variety of possible rewards for Bank of American Elite Rewards cardholders. The terms of the program are simple: for every dollar you spend on your Elite Rewards credit card, you get one point. But if you make that purchase through the Elite website, then you could double, triple, or even quintuple your point-to-dollar ratio.
While the Bank of America Elite Rewards credit card offer is no longer available there are many other great rewards credit card offers to choose from.
Where did the Bank of America Elite Rewards Card Go?
We are supposed to be reviewing the Bank of America Elite Rewards Credit Card, here, but there’s just one problem: Bank of America has discontinued its affiliation with the Elite Rewards program. It’s most likely due to the recent recession.
Every major credit issuer has been cutting back on the number of credit cards they offer. Not even Bank of America, the nation’s largest financial institution, is immune to the pull of the economy.
But regardless of the reason why, the fact remains that the Bank of America Elite Rewards Credit Card has been discontinued, and there’s no word as to whether or not it’s ever coming back.
You Can Still Get What You Want!
But you can still apply for an Elite Rewards credit card directly through their website. It’s being administered by another financial institution. The interest rates and fees are on par with Bank of America’s typical rates and fees, so there’s no change there.
But you should also keep in mind that Bank of America has other rewards programs that it participates in, too. So it’s up to you to decide which is more important to you: having a Bank of America credit card or having an Elite Rewards credit card.
