This review is for the Bank of the West Standard MasterCard® Credit Card. The most basic of the individual Bank of the West Cards, the Standard MasterCard does still offer a low introductory annual percentage rate as well as many of the same benefits as the other cards.

Bank of the West Standard MasterCard® Credit Card Details

Like the other personal cards from the Bank of the West, the Standard MasterCard offers a special 0% introductory annual percentage rate to new cardholders for the first six months the card is open. However, after the first six months, the interest rate increases to 20.99%, which is the highest permanent rate of any of the cards.

In addition, the APR may also change as it is based on the Prime Rate. However, there is no annual fee charged for the Standard Card, and you have a 25-day grace period to pay off your balance each month. If you do so, you can save a lot of money on interest charges.

You can be assessed a late fee, over the limit fee or returned payment fee. Each of those fees is $35.
