Capital One JourneySM Student Rewards Credit Card Benefits
The JourneySM Student Rewards Credit Card offers a variable 19.8% APR, but does not charge an annual fee. This means that if a student pays off the card in full each month, there is no cost of having the credit card.
Students with the card each a 1% cash bonus on every purchase, and offers the ability to transfer a balance from another credit card onto their JourneySM Credit Card with no transfer fee. The transfer rate is the same as the regular APR.
If a payment is missed in any month, the APR is raised to 29.4% and there is a late payment fee of up to $35 assessed. For cash advances, there is a 3% fee charged with a minimum of $10 charged to the account.
When the bill is paid on time each month, the student can earn a 25% bonus on the cash back amount, or an additional quarter of a percent (1/4%). The cash back awards from the JourneySM Student Rewards Credit Card do not expire, and can be redeemed at anytime either online or over the phone.
Awards can be redeemed as a check, an account credit, or even a gift card.
