You need to be a bank account holder at CB&T in order to qualify for this credit card. You will also need to visit one of their branches in order to apply for the card, as they do not have an online application system in place.
CB&T Visa Platinum Cash Rewards Credit Card Overview
This rewards credit card allows you to earn cash back at a one percent per dollar spending rate. However, the amount that you can earn in cash back caps out quickly at $400 annually, which means if you are a big credit card spender you aren’t going to be rewarded as much as you will with cards with unlimited earning potential.
The rewards pay out comes once a year on your card anniversary. However, you can look at your monthly earnings on your monthly statement or by going online. You cannot request an early payout for your cash back earnings. If you make a late payment on your credit card, you will no longer qualify for the rewards program.
Not included in the cash back reward program calculations are gambling transactions, cash advances, account fees or balance transfers.
CB&T Platinum Cash Rewards Credit Card Terms
There are five different rates associated with this card that are based on your credit worthiness. The rates are low and you must have very good to perfect credit in order to qualify for this card. All of the rates listed below are plus prime rate, which means you need to add 3.25% to each of the numbers.
- The APR options are 3.99%, 5.99%, 7.99%, 9.99% & 11.99% plus prime for purchases and balance transfers
- Cash advances are 16.99% plus prime
- Cash advance fee of $10 or 4%, whichever is greater
- Foreign transaction fee is 3%
- There is no annual fee
CB&T Platinum Cash Rewards Credit Card Verdict
The rewards program for this card is very limited. If you are a small spender, then this won’t affect you at all and the low interest rates are excellent. If, however, you spend a lot of money on your credit card monthly, you might want to find a better rewards program.
