Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express each announced that they would be waiving or rebating all of the credit card transaction fees incurred for Haiti donations to the American Red Cross and other select charitable organizations.
The credit card fee rebates and waivers will likely last until the end of February. Most major charities are eligible for the credit card processing fee rebate/waiver but if you are unsure about a particular charity then the safest bet is to to give to the American Red Cross.
