The Credit Union of Colorado (CUC) offers their members two credit card options. These options are the Platinum Visa and the Platinum Rewards Visa. The Rewards Visa lets the cardholder earn special points every time they make a purchase. When the cardholder has earned a certain number of points, they can trade them for special rewards.

There are many benefits to having a rewards card, but cardholders have been known to use their card more often than they typically would just to earn extra points. It is important for the cardholder not to let their spending get out of control since rewards credit cards have higher interest rates. For more information on how to handle high credit card interest rates, go to Suze Orman’s website.

The annual percentage rate for cash advances, balance transfers, and purchases will range from 6.25% to 11.25%. The final interest rate the cardholder will have to pay is determined by their credit score.
There is no annual fee and no fee for cash advances and balance transfers. There is a fee of one percent for all foreign transactions. The only penalty fee for this credit card is $15 when a payment is late.
Perks of CUC Travel Rewards Visa Credit Card
These types of rewards credit cards are a great choice for someone that travels a lot. While there are other rewards available, most people like to use their rewards credit cards for travel rewards. Frequent flyer miles, tickets for cruises, car rentals, and free hotel stays are just some of the travel rewards the cardholder can earn.
Typically, with a rewards card the cardholder will purchase a plane ticket with their credit card as usual. Then they either log into their online account or call their credit card provider to redeem their frequent flyer miles. The amount of the plane ticket is then credited to their account.
