Chase Bank offers an Advantage Visa Card on behalf of Wisconsin-based pet supplies retailer Doctors Foster & Smith (DF&S). It is a standard Visa card which can be used for purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, with a few added perks to encourage card holders to shop at DF&S.
The application process takes place on Chase Bank’s secure server after redirection by a number of external links. These links can be found on the DF&S, Chase, and First USA web sites.
One unique aspect of the application is that it begins by asking the customer to agree to the fact that his or her credit report is clear of bankruptcy or serious delinquencies, and that the applicant hasn’t been denied Chase credit within the last three months.
DF&S Credit Card Points Program
With the DF&S Visa card, consumers can earn points to be redeemed in several ways. Two points are earned for every dollar spent at DF&S and LiveAquaria.com; one point per dollar applies to all other transactions.
When a threshold of 2,200 points is reached, the card holder will automatically be issued a $25 DF&S gift card. At 2,500 points, card holders may redeem them via a $25 gift card good for purchases at participating retailers like Borders, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, T.J.Maxx, and others.
Card holders who wish to forgo the 2,500 point gift card can accumulate an additional 500 points and then redeem the total of 3,000 for a $25.00 check.
