The cardholder will have an annual percentage rate of 2.99% the first eight months of the account. After the first eight months have ended, the cardholder will have a fixed interest rate of 11.24%. This special introductory interest rate and regular interest rate applies to balance transfers as well as purchases.
The interest rate for cash advances is 18%. This is also the rate for the First Hawaiian Bank Platinum card’s penalty interest rate. If the cardholder makes a late credit card payment, their 11.24% interest rate will be increased to 18% and stay at that higher rate until they have made six consecutive payments on time.
First Hawaiian Bank Platinum Visa Fees
This credit card does have an annual fee of $50. The First Hawaiian Bank will often waive this fee for private banking customers. The fee for balance transfers, writing credit card checks, and cash advances is 3%. The minimum fee that will be charged is $5. The fee for foreign transactions is 2.5%.
There are also a few penalty fees associated with this Platinum card. A late payment will result in $35 fee being charged. This is also how much the account will be charged if a payment is returned. The fee for going over the credit limit is $15.
