Perks of the FNB of Omaha Platinum Edition Visa

Although it does not have a rewards or cash back program attached to it, the Platinum Edition Visa card has many benefits associated with it. For instance, the zero liability guarantee means you’ll never have to pay for unauthorized charges to your card.

Use your First National Bank of Omaha Platinum Edition Visa to make major purchases, and you’ll receive a multitude of benefits. The card doubles the manufacturer’s warranty on items bought with the card. Your purchases will also be replaced if they’re stolen, damaged, or lost within 90 days of purchase.

Paying for travel with the Platinum Edition Visa means you and your family will be covered by additional travel accident insurance at no additional cost. You can also feel free to refuse the expensive additional rental insurance offered by the rental car company. The Platinum Edition Visa will cover what your car insurance doesn’t if the rental is damaged or stolen.

As mentioned above, if you want a rewards credit card the First National Bank of Omaha offers a Platinum Edition Visa with the Maximum Rewards program. It has all of the same perks as the Platinum Edition.

Rates and Fees on the Platinum Edition Visa

One of the benefits of this Platinum Edition Visa is a lower interest rate than the credit card with rewards also offered by First National Bank of Omaha. After an introductory zero percent APR for the first year expires, the interest rate will be between 9.99% and 17.99% based on your creditworthiness. There’s no annual fee with this card.

Be careful about the penalty APR, though. The Federal Reserve explains that a penalty APR is a high interest rate they are legally allowed to charge if you don’t follow the rules of the card. If you are late with a credit card payment, go over your credit limit, or have a credit card payment returned, your APR jumps up to 29.99% immediately. They can keep the rate at this level indefinitely at that point.
