The Hills Bank and Trust Company Visa Classic credit card was a standard credit card with no rewards or cash back rewards credit card program. It is no longer offered by HBTC, though the bank and trust company does offer an alternative.

HBTC Visa Classic Replacement

Although the Visa Classic from HBTC is no longer offered, cardholders who already had one before it was discontinued may still maintain the account with no changes if they wish. Hills Bank and Trust now offers the Visa Platinum credit card instead.

As an HBTC Visa Platinum cardholder, you’ll still receive the personal service you’ve come to expect from a community bank. You can get account information or pay a bill at any Hills Bank and Trust location. Automatic payments can also be set up from your Hills Bank and Trust Company checking or savings accounts. Or you can access your information from any computer with HBTC’s online service.

The HBTC Visa Platinum offers an introductory interest rate of 3.9% for seven months. Then the rate will be between 5.25% and 12.25%, depending on your credit history, income, and total debt. You’ll have a 25-day credit card grace period, so if you pay your balance off each month, you’ll never have to pay interest.

HBTC Visa for Use Anywhere

Unlike the platinum card scams the Federal Trade Commission has recently warned about – the HBTC Visa Platinum does not have an annual fee or any hidden fees at all. It is also accepted anywhere in the Visa network all over the world. All rates are available on the Hills Bank and Trust website.

The Hills Bank and Trust Company Visa Platinum card also uses the Verified by Visa system. This free service makes buying online safer and more secure. You’ll need to register your card with the system, creating a password. The password will need to be entered before you can use your Visa to buy anything online.
