Inactive Account

An inactive account is when is an individual does not use his or her credit card for a specified amount of time which leads to their credit card being deactivated and no longer can be used. It is very important that you check with your credit card company to see how long you can go without using your card.

If you pass the allotted time given without any sort of activity then your credit card provider has the right to cancel your account. This can lead to an inconvenience when you are trying to purchase goods and unaware of your predicament. In some cases an inactive account can lower your credit score and your credit card providers can also charge you an inactive account fee.
