Issuer Identification Number

When credit cards are issued, the numbers that appear on the card have specific meanings. The first six numbers on the credit card are called the Issuer Identification Number. This IIN number explains the identity of the issuing credit card company. The numbers that follow the Issuer Identification Number are related to the credit card holder’s account registration.
