The KVU Visa card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. Although not a student credit card specifically, the KCU website claims the card has special benefits designed with students, alumni, faculty, staff, and other supporters in mind. It also provides a unique way for card holders to financially support the university through the rewards program.
You may apply online for the KCU credit card by visiting the university website and following the links. The card features a photo of the KCU welcome sign against a bright blue sky. The card also features the KCU and Visa logos.
Kentucky Christian University Credit Card – Support the University
One of the most unique aspects of KCU’s Visa card is a rewards program which allows users to support the university through the reward credit card program. Like most other Visa rewards cards, points are earned based upon the amount of retail purchases. Points do not expire for accounts kept current and used once every 24 months. They can be redeemed for travel benefits, or merchandise.
In addition, card holders earn 1% bonus which can be redeemed as cash back credit card rewards, or as a donation given back to KCU. This unique program gives friends of the school a great way to financially support KCU without using any direct, out-of-pocket money, much like a charity credit card.
Kentucky Christian University Credit Card Terms
The Kentucky Christian University credit card has no annual fee and an introductory rate of 0% for balance transfers only. The standard rate of 12.24% to 22.24% applies to all retail purchases, as well as balance transfer credit card transactions after the six-month introductory period terminates. An APR of 24.99% applies to cash advances.
Late payments may trigger the cancellation of the standard APR and raise the rate on an account to the penalty APR of 27.99%. The KCU Visa does offer a way to reduce the penalty rate back to the standard rate by making six consecutive payments on time, beginning with the first month after the penalty is assessed.
