MasterCard Acquirer

Any company that signs a merchant agreement for MasterCard or who gives funds to a MasterCard card holder as a direct result of the MasterCard is considered a MasterCard acquirer. Once any transaction receipt is entered into interchange, the merchant is a MasterCard Acquirer, whether it is intentional by the seller or if it is unintentional.
