Merchant Bank

A merchant bank is a financial organization that specializes in extended loans and global financing for large businesses and people of wealth. A regular banker cannot seek help from a merchant bank.

The bank invests its own money and resources rather than find investors for the companies it represents. There are also certain services that a Merchant bank offers. These services include financial advisement on acquisitions, mergers and portfolio assistance.
