Minimum Payment

In terms of credit, a minimum payment is the smallest amount that must be paid on a monthly basis in order to keep the account in good standing. This payment is often a percentage of the entire balance and may fluctuate accordingly. Other factors that may affect the minimum payment include the credit limit, purchase history, and the account type.
