It seems appropriate then, that Bank of America is the issuer of the National Trust for Historic Preservation credit card.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation credit card is an American Express card which is available with no annual fee. Along with this credit card, Bank of America also offers checking, savings, and CD accounts in supported of the trust. You can compare this and other credit card offers online.

A survey of the Bank of America web site provides links for all of the National Trust for Historic Preservation products. However, clicking on the link for the American express card returns a “page no longer valid” error. It is possible that this card is no longer being offered by Bank of America.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation Credit Card Rates

Approved applicants are given an introductory interest rate of 0% on all purchases and balance transfer credit card transactions for the first 7 to 10 billing cycles, depending on credit history. The standard APR is 12.99% to 20.99% based on credit history at the time the account was opened. As with most major credit cards the rate is variable.

The interest rate for cash advance credit card activity is 24.24% and there is no penalty APR. Transaction fees for purchases of wire transfers, balance transfers, and cash advances are either $10 or 4%, whichever is greater. Foreign transactions are charged with a 1% fee which is lower than the industry average.

This credit card can be tied to an existing Bank of America checking account for the purposes of overdraft protection. In addition, the card is part of the Bank of America WorldPoints rewards credit card program which awards points based on the net purchases made using the card.
