I have an Ebay business and I wanted to get access to my funds right away, without waiting on the Bank transfer (which can take several days). I’m happy with the Paypal debit card, I haven’t really had any problems with it, and since its debit, there aren’t really any late fees. I haven’t called customer service because I haven’t had to, so I’m not sure about that, but everything else is great.
I got the Paypal debit card because I needed to verify my Paypal account and it was the quickest way to do it…it took 30 seconds instead of the 3 days I would have had to wait before I could use Paypal to pay for something on ebay. I haven’t had it long, but have had no problems with it so far.
I’ve used Paypal for years now and tried to apply for the debit card. I was asked to verify my account information. Then was told the card would process. I never got anything…approval or denial. So I called and was told I needed to re-apply, but that this time would go through because all of my info was updated. So I just went online again to apply for the 2nd time. Guess what? I was told I need to verify all of my account info. And so it starts again. How is anyone else getting this stupid card when all I get is hassled and run around in circles? I keep money in there and have never had any claims against me or any other problems. So why is this so difficult????

Be very wary of using a PayPal debit card. If you receive damaged products or products that missing parts you will have to get and “expert” to write a statement on that experts company letterhead concerning the damage and/or missing parts if you dispute the purchase. This is a per Paypal’s requirement as stated by their dispute department. If you can not get this then you are out of luck and out of the money used to purchase the faulty product. There is simply no way around it according to Paypal debit card services dispute department.
