Membership in the Piano Technicians Guild is open to qualifying individuals who are or want to be a piano tuner and/or a piano technician. The organization is not for profit and relies on dues to help fund its work.

Joining the PTG to Apply for a Piano Technicians Guild Credit Card

You can join the Piano Technicians Guild as an Associate Member initially. After you pass your exams you then become a RPT, or a Registered Piano Technician. As a member you are entitled to attend Chapter meetings, although you are not required to do so.

There are currently 4,100 members in the guild worldwide. Members are allowed to apply for the Piano Technicians Guild credit card.

Benefits of the Piano Technicians Guild Credit Card

The Piano Technicians Guild rewards credit card is a Visa rewards card that is accepted worldwide. There is no annual fee associated with the card and rates are relatively low considering this is a rewards card (see Costs section below).

For every qualifying purchase you make you receive one point on the dollar. The points can then be redeemed for cash back or for gift cards or travel credit card benefits.

The Costs of a Piano Technicians Guild Credit Card

As mentioned above, there is no annual fee for the Piano Technicians Guild credit card. Most rewards credit cards come with fairly high interest rates. However, this credit card ranges from 12.24% to 22.24% variable.

There is a 0% introductory rate that may be available for the first six months based on your credit worthiness. This only applies to balance transfer credit card transactions and not new purchases.
