Another benefit offered by Provident Credit Union is $1,000,000 in travel accident insurance. In addition, if you use your Visa Platinum credit card to rent a car, then you’re covered by their auto rental insurance.
Interestingly, if you have a mortgage with Provident Credit Union, or you are a private banker with Provident, then you’ll qualify for a different APR than standard Provident customers.
Lastly, all APRs associated with the Visa Platinum credit card are based on a fixed rate. This means that the prime rate has no impact on what your APR will be.
Terms of the Visa Platinum Credit Card from Provident Credit Union
There is an introductory APR for the Visa Platinum credit card of 10.15% to 10.65%, which is based on your creditworthiness. The introductory APR lasts for six months and then the APR will range between 12.65% and 13.15%.
If you qualify for the mortgage-relationship APR, then the introductory APR will be 6.65%. The regular APR will be 9.65%. For those of you who qualify as a private banker, the introductory APR will be 8.65% and the regular APR will be 10.65%.
There is no annual fee and there are only two transaction fees–the cash advance fee, which is $4 dollars or 2%, and the foreign transaction fee, which is 2%.
