The PSECU credit card is no different, making it an excellent choice for PSECU members. That’s right, we said members. In order to qualify for this card you will have to open a savings or checking account at PSECU.

Fortunately, like many credit unions, there are no fees to open up a savings or a checking account. If you choose a basic account, you aren’t held to account minimums either, which can be beneficial during tough economic times.

PSECU Credit Card Overview

The first thing that you want to know is that this is a no fee card. What this means is that you aren’t charged a fee for using an ATM (other than what the ATM owner might charge), balance transfer credit card use, cash advance credit card withdrawals and more. This is almost unheard of it today’s credit climate.

The annual interest rate is 9.9% fixed. For the first year of use, all balance transfer activity will have an APR of 3.9%. After the year, all balance transfers will also be 9.9%.

PSECU also offers a free FICO score service for all of their card members. You can check your FICO score as many times as you want for no charge. In addition, you will receive free security and credit fraud alerts.

You will have access to a free budgeting tool that will help you to balance your budget each month. Members also receive free rental insurance collision coverage if you use your card to rent a vehicle.

    Unfortunately, though, PSECU has some pretty strict limitations on joining. I live around them, and would love to be a member, but do not meet their requirements.
