Returned Payment Fee

There are times when a payment will not go through because there are not sufficient funds for a check or online transaction. Because this means that a financial organization will have to go through additional paperwork and manpower, they often charge a returned payment fee. The amount of this fee will depend upon the organization and its guidelines.
