A savings bank is an institution responsible for obtaining and procuring the assets of its customers so as to assist them in accumulating their personal savings.
Such banks also offer customers interest rates, or yield, which can be a helpful tool when trying to grow capital for a purchase in the future. Recently, savings banks have introduced debit cards, which allow customers to access their funds without visiting a branch and withdrawing in person.
