Sinclair Credit Card Overview
The First National Bank of Omaha offers the Sinclair Platinum Edition Visa Card. This rewards credit card starts by offering you a huge 8% cash back credit card reward for your first 2 billing cycles for any Sinclair gas purchases. The great thing is that this applies to any Sinclair purchases, which means snacks as well as staying at any of the Sinclair hotels!
After the 2 billing cycles your rewards will be 4% for all Sinclair purchases and 1% for all other purchases. You will earn 0% gas credit card rewards if you purchase gas at another gas station.
The interest rates will be either 13.99%, 16.99% or 19.99%, depending on your credit score. The penalty APR is up to 29.99% and will also be based on your credit score.
There is no annual fee for this credit card.
Sinclair Credit Card Considerations
One of the downsides to choosing this fuel credit card is that after you have spent $7,500 on your card, you will no longer be eligible for the 4% cash back benefits, it will change to 1%. In addition, your reward points expire annually.
There is no cap on how many points you can earn each year, however, and you will receive $25 in a method of your choice (except for cash) for every 2500 points you accumulate.
Sinclair Credit Card Bottom Line
Overall, this is a good credit credit card; however, their changing rewards are a bit sneaky. The rewards program won’t benefit you if you don’t live in one of the 21 states that have Sinclair gas stations.
