Up until recently, Southern Living at Home (SLH) was an MLM business opportunity offering niche products for the home. Earlier this year the company was sold and renamed Willow House. Prior to the sale, Barclays Bank Delaware issued a MasterCard in conjunction with the company. Unfortunately, the Southern Living at Home credit card is no longer available and the information is no longer being made public by Barclays Bank.
As a MasterCard product, the Southern Living at Home credit card was eligible for standard MasterCard benefits and was usable anywhere in the world MasterCard is accepted. That included hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign retailers as well as ATMs. Special incentives were offered for using the card to make SLH purchases. Southern Living at Home Credit Card Rates and Fees
The standard APR for purchases with the Southern Living at Home retail credit card ranged between 13.99% and 19.99% depending on credit history. This rate is rather high when compared to other similar cards. Other rates included 13.99% to 19.99% for balance transfer credit card transactions, 19.99% for cash advances, and a penalty rate of 21.99%. The card did provide for an introductory rate of 0% on all balance transfers for the first six billing cycles of the account.
Despite higher than average interest rates, the fees on this card were lower than industry average. Beginning with no annual fee, the card also charged $5 or 3% for balance transfers, $10 or 3% for cash advances, and 2% for foreign transactions.
Fees for late and returned payments, as well as cash advances and balance transfers varied anywhere from $25-$50. The card agreement provided for a complicated and graduated system of fees depending on the transaction type, size, and balance on the account.
Southern Living at Home Credit Card Rewards Program
Like all other rewards credit cards points programs, the Southern Living at Home credit card provided a program which awarded points to cardholders based on transactions. Two points were awarded for every dollar in SLH purchases; one point per dollar for all other purchase transactions.
A one-time bonus of 1,000 points was awarded upon completion of the account holder’s first transaction. Reward points were redeemable for SLH gift cards in increments of $25, or for various other unknown rewards redeemable through SLH’s redemption center. Get more credit card offers now!
