The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) is a nonprofit organization that, according to its website, is “dedicated to the development of useful business relationships between the United States and Sweden.” The organization has teamed up UMB to provide an affinity credit card from Visa which benefits the organization. The bank makes an initial donation of $50 and continues to make subsequent donations based on card usage.
Applicants must be 18 years old or older to apply. Normal applicant information will be required such as name and address, Social Security number, and employment and income. At the time of application consumers can also apply for a secondary card. Compare this with other online credit cards now!
The card design bears the official logo of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce against a white background and there are two to choose from: one with a larger version of the logo which spans the entire height of the card, and another with a smaller version occupying just the upper half.
Swedish American Chamber of Commerce Credit Card Rates and Fees
The SACC credit card begins with no annual fee and a 0% introductory rate on all purchases. Upon expiration the standard APR for purchases is raised to 12.99%. The rate for balance transfer credit card transactions is 12.99% to 16.99% depending on whether the transaction is considered as a purchase or a cash advance. For cash advances, the APR is set at 16.99%.
Account holders who make a late payment will be subject to a penalty APR 21.75%. The penalty rate will continue to be assessed until the cardholder makes six consecutive payments on time, at which time the account is returned the standard APRs. All rates are variable and are based upon the Prime Rate.
