Summit Federal Credit Union Visa Platinum Credit Card

Summit Federal Credit Union offers a Visa Platinum credit card to members that qualify. The interest rate starts at 9.9% fixed. Your individual rate may be higher depending on your credit score and income. Unlike many other cards, it does not have a credit card penalty rate. It does have a much higher interest rate if you are late with or miss a payment.

For the first year that you have the Visa Platinum credit card from SFCU, you’ll only pay 6.9% interest on balance transfers.

This makes the card an attractive place to roll balances from other, higher interest cards.

The SFCU Visa Platinum credit card also does not charge an annual fee, a credit card balance transfer fee, or a cash advance fees. The card boasts lower than industry-standard foreign exchange fees as well.

Summit Federal Credit Union Visa Platinum Rewards Credit Card

The second choice of Visa credit cards from Summit FCU is a Platinum card with the ScoreCard reward program attached to it. With this program you’ll earn points every time you purchase something with the credit card. The points can be used to receive cash back, gift cards, and even travel rewards.

Most of the fees and rates are the same with this card as the Platinum with no rewards program, except the interest rate. The lowest possible interest rate with the rewards card is a fixed 11.9% APR. The exact rate again depends on your creditworthiness.

If you’re not sure whether a fixed rate card is for you, get more information from chron.com’s article on “Variable vs. Fixed Interest Rate.”

Both cards are Visa credit cards, so they’re accepted at millions of places all over the world. You’ll also receive Visa’s Zero Liability promise with both SFCU cards.

Additionally, cardholders have access to their credit card account information online.
