Timberland is an outerwear company that is especially known for creating high-end boots that are ideal for wearing in the outdoors for hiking and other activities, especially in extreme weather conditions. Although their items are a bit pricy, Timberland does not offer a Timberland credit card so that people can have an easier time buying their products.

The good news is that department store credit cards tend to have much higher interest rates than other types of credit cards. This means that you could actually save a lot of money by choosing one of the low interest rate credit cards from Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express than using a department store credit card.
Timberland Credit Card – A Gift Card Alternative
Okay, it’s true, a gift card is not a substitute for a credit card, however, it is a good way to save money specific for Timberland items, especially if you find that you seem to spend anything that ends up being earmarked for something else!
Timberland gift cards are available in $5 increments starting at the $5 mark and going as high as $250. If you purchase an online gift certificate, it can only be used at online stores; however, an actual gift card can be redeemed at any online or brick and mortar store.
Timberland Credit Card – Timberland Federal Credit Union
Another options, and this is only for people who live in Clearfield County or Philipsburg Borough in Pennsylvania, is the Timberland Federal Credit Union. You can learn more about Credit Unions at MyMoney.gov or from the NCUA. TFCA offers three credit cards:
- Visa Classic
- Visa Platinum
- Visa ScoreCard
These cards are low interest rate credit cards that have no annual fees, no application fees, no cash advance fees and no balance transfer fees. The ScoreCard is a cash back credit card that offers cash back based on your annual spending. The cash back will range from .25% to 1.00%.
These are not bad credit credit cards, but someone with slow credit may be able to qualify. The interest rates for all of the cards range from 8.4% to 17.9% depending on your credit score.
Timberland Credit Card – The Bottom Line
Timberland doesn’t offer a credit card and Timberland Federal Credit Union is only for people living in the two places mentioned above. Needless to say, neither one of these options is right for everyone.
