Customer Service is very poor. Lost/stolen cards are replaced by regular mail and the wait is 10 business days. In my case the replacement card never arrived and they made me wait out the 10 full business days. Then they agreed to issue a new card but could not send it by UPS or Fedex. They again put it in the regular mail and told me that it would take up to 10 more business days.TJX cards are now handled by GE Retail bank and the level of service and response and fraud protection dates back to the 1980′s. This is not a card that you can depend on. The rewards are good but not worth the risk of monthlong headaches if the card number is lost/stolen. Stick with a card issued by Chase that understands that the cardholder matters.

The customer service is terrible. They have limited phone hours, you can’t pay bills by phone and it’s very difficult to register online. When I’ve had a problem, this has led to fees, fees, fees. I’ve paid 200 percent of my actual purchases in fees. And I can’t get a hold of anyone to discuss it. I would cancel if I could actually talk to someone. I have nicknamed this credit card satan in my bank’s online bill pay–which I have to use because I can’t get find another way to get them my money.

Recommend searching all customer reviews on this card before applying. Also note: 45 to 90 million credit card accounts were stolen from TJX between 2005 and 2007.

    My experience:

$15 fee to talk to a live TJX rewards customer service person. I’m not sure how to cancel this card without incurring a $15 charge? This was as of 8/3/2012

As of 8/3/2012 Marshalls return policy is a very short 30 days even with the receipt.

You cannot pay your bill at a Marshalls store.

It was easy to pay the bill in full using the automated phone option after I gave them my bank routing number and account number. They are pretty good at accepting payments

An erroneous payment was made to my TJX account instead of my other credit card, but TJX sent me a check and then I closed my account and things were good, life was great. Sounds easy, right?

Well, two weeks later I get a bill in the mail for the same amount that I had erroneously paid to my TJX card, and this has been going on for two months now!

Customer service reps tell me different things, managers are useless and offer no compassion, and while I sent all of my bank statements and TJX statements proving that the funds had in fact left my bank account to my TJX account, they somehow cannot put the puzzle together.

Their debt collection depatment had been ringing me non-stop while my file was apparently ‘under review’, and today I come to find out that it was rejected. Why? Who knows? I have explained the situatio at least three times each time I speak to someone, which is becoming pretty ridiculous. How can a company as big as TJX have accounting errors as simple as this but not be able to resolve it?

What an awful credit card company! Hopefully more people see this to avoid the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced- it really is that bad.

26.99% interest rate!!! flat rate for everyone (good or bad credit) 26.99%!!!
Rewards? 5% ($10 store credit for every $200 spent at their stores).
This must be the worst credit card ever.
Customer service? Well, let’s just say they’re not there to serve you-the customer…

Overall rating Worst!!!Beware : Rates & Fees horrendous!!A Marshall’s cashier foisted this horror on me by insisting ( “You can save 5% on all your purchases with our card here.” She didn’t tell me it was a Master’s Card ( I didn’t want one/never would have requested it ) : Now, 8 weeks later, TJX is demanding $110 in payment of my 48$ purchase + THE REMAINDER IN FEES for a ” TJX purchase made on my Master’s Card” –I’d submitted my VISA and thought I paid with that. I never requested this piece of – –it and never received it or consciously made a purchase with it . I’ve called Marshall’s and demanded that they void this purchase –They said they can move it to my VISA card, as I intended–and they should absorb the usurious “fees” for foisting this creepy rip-off on me without my knowledge, which was pure misrepresentation—and for using TJX, which is a total nasty scam operation. I’ll fight it to the end if need be. Tell Marshall’s to drop this criminal operation –and , whatever you do, don’t accept the store’s “We’ll save you 5% with “our” card come-on!

REVIEW for the TJX CREDIT CARD:
Terrible Customer Service!! When Chase Bank managed this card, I had no problems.

It’s VERY obvious that the TJX companies, located in Framingham, MA, was looking to save a buck by switching to GE Retail Bank.

Ge Retail Bank routes all it’s calls overseas where we all get to speak to people who are likely to misunderstand us when we speak or even worse, disconnect us when they cannot help us.

The automated system is atrocious. You have to suffer through at least 4 minutes of robotic requests and useless information before you are allowed the privilege of being put on hold. Also, at this critical juncture, you just might be disconnected and have to start all over! By the time you reach a person, who is likely to be speaking broken English, your brain is ready to explode.

Further, even with STELLAR credit, you get the same exorbitant rate as those with poor credit.

Additionally, TJX rewards preys upon those with poor credit, and through their faulty system of poor customer service and endless technical malfunctions on their website’s payment system, you will end up with even worse credit scores!

To top it all off, there is NO one in AMERICA to help you resolve your issues. You will simply get people from overseas, speaking as if they are reading from a script and saying the same irrelevant things over and over….your ISSUE will never be resolved. PAY off your balance and cancel this card PRONTO.

Why aren’t we all complaining to TJX Companies in Framingham, MA? These are the people who decide who will be servicing it’s loyal customers!! We shop at their stores and allow these elite executives a VERY luxurious lifestyle, and yet when we want to handle our affairs, managing very small sums of money, we are put through hell. It’s NOT fair.

Also, As of JUNE 2012, these executives have been dumping their stocks….the CEO, Carol Meyrowitz, just sold 5.3 MILLION in stocks…well, isn’t she the lucky one…Nice to be Carol, huh?
