Wells-Fargo-WachoviaWells Fargo credit cards will be one of the very first Wells Fargo financial products offered to Wachovia banking customers after the completion of the merger between the two financial behemoths. Currently Wachovia credit cards are still available to Wachovia customers but the plans are to give Wachovia customers access to new Wells Fargo credit cards starting April of 2010 and up until then access to the Wells Fargo branded credit cards only as current Wachovia cards expire (or are stolen/stolen).

Reporting by Karen Mraceck of the Des Moines Register tallies up that currently only 15% of Wachovia banking customers have a Wachovia credit card vs. the much higher number of 36% of all Wells Fargo banking customers that have a Wells Fargo credit card. This would seem to be a great opportunity for Wells Fargo to gain a lot of traction with its credit card products by marketing them to Wachovia banking customers.

No matter whether you are a customer of Wells Fargo, Wachovia, or any other number of banks it is always smart to shop around. Use our free credit card “Chaser” search engine tool to find and compare the very best credit cards today!
